$233,000 Settlement Reached in Three-Car Collision

The case settled for $233,000 involving a three-car collision when the defendant failed to yield the right of way.

The plaintiff was involved in a three-car collision in which the defendant failed to yield the right of way. The defendant collided with an oncoming vehicle, spinning into the side of the plaintiff’s SUV. Brown suffered an acute right shoulder injury (RTC tear) that required surgical repair, as well as cervical aggravating damage, as a result of the incident. The plaintiff’s medical specials totaled $88,000, and she filed a wage loss claim for her recovery period following surgery. Spotsylvania Circuit Court scheduled a two-day jury trial for the case. The total coverage was $250,000.
